Booking Terms and Conditions
1.1 Please read the following terms and conditions before booking with us. By booking with New Venture Charters you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions 1.2 The person booking themselves or on behalf of a passenger or group confirms that he/she has the authority to agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Booking Method
2.1 We will provide the charter information following your initial enquiry 2.2 Charters will be confirmed and the spaces booked after the booking and paying the deposit. The booking will detail the charter fee, how many people require a space and the length of stay
2.3 To insure a booking is completed and the spaces of the charter are reserved, a deposit of £200 per person is required immediately. We will send conformation on the receipt of the deposit.
Payment
3.1 The charter fee will be agreed upon the initial enquiry.
3.2 The charter fee will comprise of the deposit and the remaining charter balance
3.3 The deposit has to be paid immediately after booking to secure your place/charter
3.4 The remaining charter balance must be paid, no more than a month prior to the first day of the charter date
3.5 Payment can be made through bank transfer
Deposit
4.1 The booking will not be complete until the deposit has been received
4.2 If the deposit is not paid immediately after booking, the request to charter the boat will be deemed to have expired and treated as no longer required
4.3 The purpose of the deposit is to secure your place on the boat and to prepare work to the vessel for your chosen date.
4.4 A refund of the deposit is only available if New Venture Charters cancel for any reason.
Customer responsibilities and obligations
5.1 You agree to pay the charter fee within the timescale detailed in section 3
5.2 You agree to all the terms and conditions in each section.
5.3 Each person that books confirms that they have sufficient experience to undertake diving. That they are medically fit, mobile and if necessary, qualified to do so. We will not take any responsibility for this.
5.4 New Venture Charters cannot accept responsibility for travel disruptions, changes or delays, pandemics, wars, incidents, acts of god or any other circumstance including but not limited to death, injury or illness. I would highly recommend ensuring you have adequate insurance in place to cover eventualities.
Cancellations
6.1 We reserve the right to cancel any booking for any reason. If a group or individual booking is cancelled by us, a full refund will be provided
6.2 If a circumstance beyond our control arises with the crew or vessel, and we cannot provide the charter booked, another date will be offered. If an alternate date cannot be reached, a refund will be provided
6.3 in the event you cancel before the month prior to the charter, the deposit is non refundable but no other payment will need to be paid.
6.4 Should you cancel within the month prior to the charter date; a full payment will still be required. The group or individual will be liable for these costs
6.5 If the full payment is not received a month before the charter date then we reserve the right to cancel your charter and keep any monies paid and therefore re-advertise/ resell the spaces .
Terms of Carriage
7.1 No children under the age of 16 may be carried aboard without prior permission.
7.2 The Karin is licensed to carry 12 passengers, so a maximum of 12 passengers can be carried.
7.3 For safety reasons New Venture Charters reserve the right to change activities in the event of adverse weather conditions or any other reason. Any final decision will be made by the skipper on the vessel. If any activity is cancelled for safety reasons no money will be refunded.
7.4 New Venture Charters are insured to carry 12 passengers. Our insurance does not cover passengers who are away from the vessel or engaged in diving activities. It is the legal responsibility of the diver/ group.
7.5 We do not accept any responsibility for loss, injury or damage to passengers, gear or property whilst on board or in transit. Please insure you have adequate insurance in place. If our equipment is used by an individual/diver, these become the sole responsibility of the person. The equipment should be properly checked on receipt, before use and prior to entering the water. Any accident or injury to a person or persons from the use or misuse of our equipment is the sole responsibility of the diver and if it is lost or damaged you are required to cover the costs of replacement or repair.
7.6 The charter will consist of 2 dives per day unless otherwise agreed , weather conditions permitting
7.7 Special dietary requirements can normally be catered for, however guests are responsible for informing us in advance. We reserve the right to not cater for dietary needs if it is not possible or if sufficient notice is not given. No food provided by New Venture Charters can be guaranteed allergen free due to the limited space so please be aware
7.8 We reserve the right to cancel food provided if circumstances arise.
7.9 The skipper may refuse to carry any passenger or their luggage for any reason relating to safety of the vessel and its passengers. In these circumstances no refund will be given.
7.10 Divers or passengers agree to not take any artefacts from the ship wrecks.
7.11 No drugs or illegal substances, other than prescribed medication, are permitted on board the vessel at any time. Strictly no firearms
7.13 We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time. Each customer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions in place. Data protection
Your details will be stored for the purpose of this booking. Your details will not be used for marketing purposes. All passengers’ details and details of the emergency contacts must be provide on or before the first day of the charter. The information will be kept on board and for the duration of the trip. If an emergency arises this information may be shared and provided to emergency and medical services
